What’s next for me? Simply put, I will be focusing on two core passions:
coaching and making.
Coaching
During the pandemic, I earned my ICF life coaching certification, but coaching has been a part of my life for over a decade. I will primarily focus on coaching individuals and teams, especially in church settings. In the near future, I will also offer group coaching, including:
Burnout Support for Pastors and Clergy: This group will provide a safe space for clergy experiencing early signs of burnout. We will explore the journey of Elijah, a biblical figure who faced similar struggles, offering both solace and guidance.
Time Management Group Coaching: Many people I work with feel overwhelmed by their calendars and priorities. This group will help participants regain control of their time and focus.
Coaching, to me, is sacred work. It is built on the belief that the coachee holds the answers, and the coach's role is to create a space for growth and discovery. Of all the roles I’ve played in my career, coaching is closest to my heart. If any of this resonates with you, or if you know someone who might benefit from coaching, I would love to connect.
This coaching work is also expressed through The WorthPlace Collective, a project I’ve co-founded with Jonathan Crabtree and Russell West. WorthPlace is where people can discover and leverage their inherent worth to craft their own epic narrative. Through this collective, we offer personalized coaching with a team of diverse coaches and host a podcast, which I co-host. WorthPlace is a community where individuals come together, connect, and support each other as they write their new "worth-tales."
Making
I will also focus more deeply on my craft—specifically, making knives and blades. Over the next four months, I have eight markets lined up, making this my busiest season. This work is more than just a craft; it's my island of sanity. The next few months will be filled with time spent in my shop, preparing and creating, and I’m excited to immerse myself fully in this work.
Looking Ahead
Coaching and making—these are the two things I will pour my heart and hands into. As I move forward, two phrases will guide me:
Go and Make
Be Not Afraid
This is the "new wine" being offered, and the "new wineskin" needed for the journey ahead. I am ready to embrace this season wholeheartedly.
If you’re interested in coaching or a custom blade, or if you know someone who might be, I would love to hear from you. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Strength and courage,
Kevin A. Parido
